Trumpeter Swan: These swans were once prolific along Lake Erie Wetlands. Almost at the point of extinction, they were introduced to Magee Marsh in 1996 and have begun to flourish again. In this mural, it symbolizes the rebirth of Toledo and it's downtown churches and businesses.
Gemstone Heart: This amethyst cut gem, with its royal purple color, is known as the "King's Gem" (Christ the King). The heart is surrounded by geometric shapes and patterns from the sanctuary windows, bringing the indoors out.
Luther's Rose: A contemporary version of the seal designed by Martin Luther to represent his theology. Blue symbolized the future of heavenly joy.
Butterfly: A Christian symbol of resurrection, representing change, hope and new life.
