During the annual Nativity Festival, between November and December, an Artist-In-Residence paints live on-stage in HeART Gallery on select Friday evenings. The commissioned piece and theme are discussed between the artist and arts committee, and the creative process is observed by those attending the festival.

The completed work hangs in the church building, or in some instances, has been raffled as a fundraiser for Community Cafe, our free lunch program.

The 2026 theme is “wellness” for trauma-inspired design, potentially using mural, photography, mosaic, multimedia or painting, perhaps working with our unhoused or low-income neighbor.
