Step back into the warmth and elegance of a Victorian Christmas as Christie Wieninger from the Rutherford B Hayes Presidential Library shares the holiday traditions of the Hayes family, both at their Ohio home and during their years in the White House. Enjoy a themed luncheon inspired by selections from President Hayes’ personal diary while discovering the customs, foods, decorations, and family celebrations that made Christmas special in the late 19th century. Join us for an afternoon of history, storytelling, and a taste of a Victorian Christmas. (This is a sneak peek at one of our Nativity Festival “Colonial Christmas Vignettes”.)
